It’s no secret that Brad Pitt has plenty of money – and he loves spending it. The stud actor is reported to be trying to buy property around his and Angelina Jolie’s French estate, Chateau Miraval, to construct an airport so the family can just fly in with no cameras or paparazzi. The couple already spent $60 million for 1,000 acres in the South of France which includes 35 bedrooms, a vineyard, lake, forest and a moat. “One thing he loves about the estate is the privacy it affords,” a source gushed. “Nobody can get near it. So with Angelina completing her pilot’s license, their own airstrip would give them total freedom to come and go.” |

On Thursday evening, Brad Pitt will bring some star power to the Clinton Global Initiative. The Hollywood heartthrob is scheduled to give a progress report on his Make It Right Foundation, an organization working to build eco-friendly, affordable housing in the Lower Ninth Ward of New Orleans. Last year, Pitt presented an impassioned plea to businessmen and philanthropists to ask for their support for the project. As of this summer, nearly 100 homes were either built or in the process of being constructed. Pitt’s session will also include a panel discussion of the themes raised in New Orleans and their global applications. At the end, Pitt is expected to announce a new commitment on green building. Also, Rick Fedrizzi of the U.S. Green Building Council will give Make It Right with an award for making the Lower Ninth Ward the greenest neighborhood in the world. Watch Pitt live at 5 p.m. EST at ClintonGlobalInitiative.org. |

There’s no mistaking whose slippers Brad Pitt is wearing. The 45-year-old actor stepped out in a new pair of monogrammed slippers with his “BP” initials while attending a photo call Friday in Spain for his hit movie, “Inglourious Basterds.” While the actor usually opts for a more subtle wardrobe, Pitt made a fashion statement with his dark suit and bright gold stitching on his new loafers. According to JustJared.com, the actor received the pair of shoes as a gift from one of his assistants. And the father of six apparently liked them so much, he kept them on to attend his film’s Spanish premiere later that night. Tell us: Is Brad Pitt making a stylish statement, or has he committed a fashion crime? |

The idea of Brad Pitt showing up in a Sherlock Holmes film hasn’t been snuffed out yet. Judging by the trailer, it looks as if audiences are either going to love or hate Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes—but an unknown fate hasn’t stopped the studio from planning a sequel already! The Hollywood Reporter’s Risky Business blog is reporting that Warner Bros. is developing a follow-up to the action-packed detective caper, which is due in theaters on Christmas Day, starring Robert Downey Jr. as a Holmes who seems equally adept at cage-fighting as he is at solving the most complex of cases. And while the studio denied rumors that Pitt was “joining the cast” of the first flick as Holmes’ archenemy, Professor Moriarty, Pitt has since talked to producers about playing the supervillain in a possible sequel. Meanwhile, Ritchie has confirmed that “there is some kind of appearance” by Moriarty in Sherlock Holmes, and that the actor who plays him is not credited for the role. Deduce what you want from the provided clues. We’re just hoping Sherlock rocks enough to earn another go-round. |
