Given Brad Pitt’s high-profile activism, it may not have seemed too curious that he and Nancy Pelosi met with each other in Washington, D.C., Thursday, but it no doubt piqued people’s curiosity. After all, it’s not every day you get to see a Hollywood heavyweight mixing it up with the Speaker of the House.
“I just want to say thank you to the Speaker for opening up the doors to let us come in and discuss the current rebuilding effort going on in New Orleans,” Pitt said during a press conference following their meeting on behalf of the actor’s Make It Right project.

Nancy Pelosi’s office says Brad Pitt is set to meet with the Speaker of the House on Thursday to discuss the 45-year-old actor’s charity efforts in New Orleans.
Pitt founded “Make It Right” in 2007 to help build environmentally sustainable housing for low-income residents in New Orleans who lost their homes during Hurricane Katrina. He was nominated for a best-actor Oscar for “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.”

Jennifer Aniston can’t seem to escape questions about her marriage to Brad Pitt. It’s been almost four years since Aniston and Pitt split, and the actress continues to set the record straight on her past marriage.
“No matter what I say, things will always be taken out of context and misinterpreted, will always be turned around to make it seem as though I won’t let something go, or that I just keep talking about it over and over,” Aniston said, prefacing her comments about her 2005 split with Pitt, during a new interview in the April issue of Elle UK.
Irish rockers U2 want Brad Pitt to star in a movie about their lives. The band’s guitarist The Edge thinks the Hollywood hunk would be the perfect person to portray him if a film about the group was ever made. He said: “We’d want it to be realistic, we don’t want the usual things, so Brad Pitt would play me.” Bono thinks only an Oscar winner could do him justice on the big screen. He joked to British radio presenter Christian O’Connell from Absolute Radio: “Yes, I would say. Who’s another tall, skinny Irishman? Daniel Day Lewis would play me.”
