Brad Pitt is going to Cannes – and means to win.
The star’s WWII action film, the intentionally misspelled Inglourious Bastards, has been invited to this year’s May 13-24 Cannes Film Festival, and the film’s director, Quentin Tarantino, has not only accepted the call, Variety reports, he’s agreed to allow the picture into competition.
The trade paper further reports that Tarantino has promised the Weinstein Company and Universal that his Dirty Dozen-style adventure about Jewish-American commandos battling Nazis will be ready in May. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will soon adopt a child from India- according to reports.
The source of the rumour is 10 year old actress Azharuddin Mohammed who starred in Slumdog Millionaire.
Apparently she quizzed gorgeous Ange’ at the Oscars asking her if she planned to bring an Indian child into her massive family.

Paramount Pictures has attached Brad Pitt and Natalie Portman to star in a film based on the new Leanne Shapton book “Important Artifacts and Personal Property From the Collection of Lenore Doolan and Harold Morris, Including Books, Street Fashion and Jewelry.”
The book was just published by Farrar Straus & Giroux.
Paramount won an auction for the book rights Tuesday night. Pitt’s Plan B will produce with Portman’s Handsomecharlie Films banner. Portman brought the book to Pitt, whose company is Par-based.
The book takes the form of a Sotheby’s-like estate auction catalog, with 325 entries and photographs depicting items that reveal the private moments and the rise and fall of a four-year relationship between the fictitious couple Hal Morris (a 40ish photographer) and Lenore Doolan (a New York Times food columnist in her late 20s). Movie star and social activist Brad Pitt made an appearance at Newark City Hall today for a private meeting with Mayor Cory Booker, city officials said.
The discussions centered around Pitt entering into a possible partnership with the city, said officials, who declined to provide more details.
The actor, who received an Academy Award nomination for his performance in, “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” was later spotted on Halsey Street, near the Coffee Cave, one of the city’s newest cafes. Story centers on the night manager of a European hotel who is recruited by intelligence agents to infiltrate the network of a dangerous international arms dealer.
